Calmbirth® is the only childbirth education program that requires all its educators to be practising midwives or trained birth professionals
Hello and well done for trying to find out more about birthing.
I live in Tallai, with my amazing hubby, 5 chickens, 2 miniature dachshund fur babies, a menagerie of ducks, kookaburras, bush turkeys and any other wildlife that knows it can get a free feed. If life isn’t crazy enough, we dual share with my 80 year old parents and I count my blessings everyday. I have 2 grown up children who are the light of my life. They are beginning their own journeys now and I am so proud of who they have become.
I seem to be addicted to a busy lifestyle and I’m passionate about learning and sharing my knowledge. Recently I became an Endorsed Midwife with Medicare rebates and prescribing privileges. I’m also currently studying a diploma in aromatherapy.
I am fifty-something and have been nursing since I was 17. I completed my midwifery in 1991, wow that’s 28 years ago, how time flies!!
Throughout the 28 years I have always worked in areas of Women’s health and I have seen many changes in the dynamics and politics of birthing, but one thing that never changes is the day you become a mother is the most memorable day of your life.
When I talk to women and they learn I’m a midwife they usually share their birth story. Even women in their 90’s still remember the day they birthed their children. That is why I feel so passionate that every woman should have a positive and empowering birth story.
To be a Calmbirth Educator is a privilege and I feel that the Calmbirth program is so cleverly developed to enable women to have positive and empowering birth stories. My courses are conducted at my home on a beautiful acreage property but only 3 minutes off the M1.
I charge the Calmbirth recommended retail price of $550 per couple.
To further support your journey following birth, I offer all my Calmbirth participants bulk billed Lactation consultations and post natal support up to six weeks of birthing (conditions apply).
