My name is Sue McGlynn.

I am a Registered Midwife who is passionate about women centred care, always working towards promoting evidenced based best practice through education, informed consent and empowerment of each individual woman and their birthing partner.

Within my practice I love nothing more than having the opportunity to educate women and their birthing partners to achieve the very best birth experience possible for them. The calmbirth course is unique, I have had only positive feedback from my many years of teaching calmbirth. I absolutely love what I do!

I believe in promoting birth as a natural event for most women. Through the calmbirth education program I have the amazing opportunity to educate women and their birthing partners to explore the psychology of birth, the physiology of birth along with teach them to believe in themselves by understanding the connection to birth, body baby and each other.

Empowering women by educating and encouraging them to tap into their own innate ability to birth their babies, I believe minimises the fear of birth. At the same time recognising the important consideration of focusing on the couples unique needs, expectations and aspirations of their birth experience. Equipping couples with their unique tool box for birth.

I feel very privileged to be a midwife educating women and their birthing partners as a calmbirth  practitioner. I have been a childbirth educator for many years during my midwifery career truly believing that with knowledge comes confidence.
