I’m Rosie, a nurse, a midwife & a passionate advocate for positive birth.

I live on a farm with my husband and 3 beautiful children.

I have been a nurse and midwife for over 12 years, working in many major tertiary hospitals throughout Australia, gaining amazing insight into all different types of births. I am still in awe of every single birth! Most recently I have been working here at Ballarat Health Services.

I decided to become a Calmbirth Educator in 2015, after doing the course with my husband when I was pregnant in 2013. I believe that this information was so helpful to both myself & my partner. I had an emergency caesarean, and we absolutely LOVED it. I have since had two more babies- VBAC’s (vaginal birth after caesarean), and each experience has been a positive and enjoyable experience for us all.

Calmbirth allows you to have all the knowledge you need to work as a team and make the best choices for your family. When we have knowledge we are able to make informed choices and have no regrets about the way our birth plays out, decreasing birth trauma and increasing birth satisfaction. I want this level of education to be available to all pregnant women & their birth partners/supports so they can feel informed and empowered.

Please feel free to contact me either via phone or email. Private & group classes available within the Ballarat, Ararat Warrnambool & Hamilton regions. Most group classes are run out of Eureka Osteo, Ballarat. Courses via ZOOM for rural and regional families that can not get to a physical class.

Bookings can be made via or here.
