Couples should feel empowered and in control from the very beginning: throughout pregnancy, during labour and at the birth.""If couples are taught to draw upon their innate skills, they can learn to relinquish their fears ignore negative influences and trust in the mother's body to follow its natural instinct."I am a highly proficient, qualified Calmbirth educator with many years of training and hands-on experience in pregnancy and birth as a naturopath, myotherapist and kinesiologist, pregnancy and induction massage therapist. I work closely with a strong, talented network of practitioners including a maternal health nurse, counsellor, physiotherapist and acupuncturist, so that couples have ready access to any additional support needed. I have personally guided many couples during pregnancy, birth and postnatal care and am deeply committed to every couple achieving the birth they desire. My dedication to educating and coaching expectant parents in the principles and techniques of Calmbirth gives couples confidence to engage in the birthing process as a team, which not only helps to provide a satisfying birthing experience with minimal intervention, but strengthens the bond between mum, dad and baby.My private clinic is located in Box Hill, where I conduct weekend and weeknight classes. I am happy to walk couples through the Calmbirth program and answer any questions they may have about this special life event.
