Biography

I am a mother of two beautiful children, perinatal counsellor and psychotherapist, birth educator and registered midwife. I have worked with infants and their families in the hospital setting for over 30 years. Through my work as a midwife over the past 18 years I have witnessed how fear and anxiety can negatively affect the birthing experience, but also how birth can be both empowering and an experience to cherish. Through teaching couples the calmbirth techniques since 2005 I have seen the effects that a positive pregnancy and rewarding birth experience can have on a woman and her family, and especially the newborn baby. My own experiences of giving birth were also incredibly positive and personally transformative through the use of these simple techniques and is what inspired me to continue to teach calmbirth after my children were born. I am passionate about assisting women to understand their birthing bodies, to find within themselves the resources necessary to create a positive experience regardless of the outcome and be able to birth more comfortably and with greater satisfaction. I currently run classes in the inner North of Melbourne. Please get in touch if you have any questions or would like any information regarding upcoming dates, fees, and booking links via  my website
