Hannah has a Bachelor of Midwifery, a background in Elite Sport and is also a mum to two beautiful baby boys. It’s these these three things combined that drove Hannah to become a Calmbirth Educator. She says, “The fundamentals taught in Calmbirth have been a lived experience for me in many facets of my life, and this really fuels my passion to educate families approaching birth.

“I believe so strongly in creating positive birthing conversations and helping women feel empowered and knowledgeable, as they move towards their own personal birthing experience. Partners and support people have such an important role in birth too, helping partners feel comfortable, prepared and really useful in their supporting role, is also a concept of Calmbirth I love.”

I work at… I’m a mum re-entering the workforce as a Calmbirth educator. (I’m not a practicing midwife)

My life in five words… Happy, busy, diverse, balanced, healthy.

The best thing about where I live is… being close to the fresh markets and city life. We’re relocating to Bendigo where I know we’ll enjoy more space with our little boys.

What I do to relax when I’m not working… exercise!

I can’t live without… My beautiful family and getting out in the fresh air and sunshine.

The person or traits I most admire is… I’ve got a few very close people around me who inspire, empower and lift me. They are extremely compassionate, loving and selfless. I admire them so so much.

What I love most about being a Calmbirth Educator… I love working with people who want to learn. It’s really satisfying talking about something you really believe in, and it being received positively and taken forward to benefit their own personal life. Particularly because birth is such a momentous part of couples and families worlds.

If I had to describe my own birth experiences in 3 words… beautiful, incredibly positive. X 2 for both boys.

The 3 essential things you need to take with you into labour are… Tens. I don’t remember anything else 😂 both pretty fast labours.

If you had to describe how seeing a baby being born makes you feel…. the emotion rises in my throat and I feel such privilege to witness such a personal, life changing moment.
