Kim has been working as a doula in Birth & Postnatal for the past fourteen years, as well as being a Calmbirth Educator. She is also trained as a Holistic Sleep Coach, supporting families with their infants and toddlers.

She says, “Being able to support my family with all the skills and knowledge that I have gained over the years has spurred me along to keep continuing to share preparation for labour, birth and postnatal.

“Helping you make plans to see where you will most need support is so important. Due to the Covid restrictions, now more than ever is so important to be making evidence based informed choices.

“As a Calmbirth Educator seeing the confidence & growth that gets built through attending a Calmbirth course is just so encouraging & inspiring.”

She will be offering Group & Private classes in Balmain alongside fellow Calmbirth Educator and Dr of Chinese Medicine, Melinda Webb. Kim will also be teaching Calmbirth at the Northern Beaches Hospital in 2022.

My name… is Kim Graham.

I work at…Love Doula Baby.

My life in five words…Full, varied, calm, fortunate, exciting.

The best thing about where I live…The beaches, walks, casual lifestyle, community, city life only 30 mins away.

What I do to relax when I’m not working…walking, beach, catch up with family and friends, relaxing in my garden.

I can’t live without… Chocolate.

The person or traits I most admire is…My parents, they are chilled, caring and always parenthoods.’

What I love most about being a Calmbirth educator...Seeing the change in couples, seeing how empowered they are once they realise they have all that they need to have the best experience for them and their journey into parenthood.

If I had to describe my own birth experiences in 3 words… Life changing, Raw, Trust

The 3 essential things you need to take with you into labour are…oSarong, Support, Trust.

My most memorable moment as a Calmbirth educator…When I finished my calmbirth training, and being able to walk away knowing that I had a very large tool box of suggestions and ideas to share with my clients – it all made sense and empowered me to share the experiences I had gained.

A favourite quote…loose lips- loose lips Ina May.

If I had to describe how seeing a baby being born makes me feel...blows my mind, just the best, especially to see Mum and partner seeing their newborn for the first time – truly a blessing to experience the birth of a baby – honoured
