Lea has been a midwife for over 20 years within the hospital system as well as working as a Private practise elegible midwife for “Optimal Midwifery”. She is also a registered Calmbirth® Educator and believes the Calmbirth® program is an amazing and empowering opportunity for women and families in the community.

What I love most about being a Calmbirth Educator…I enjoy meeting, educating and empowering pregnant women and families. Sharing their growth and happiness.
My life in five words…Endless journey of learning and adventure.
What I love most about where I live…The peace, space and solitude of the mountain valley.
The three essential things you need to take with you into labour are….Tool box for birth, faith and empowerment.
What I do to relax when I’m not working is…Swimming, music, yoga, chilling @ home with the animals, gardening, art & friends.
My Most memorable moment as a Calmbirth Educator is…Amongst endless events of joyful feedback from families is when I was grabbed by a mother whilst shopping unexpectedly and she cried with joy and melted into my arms with utmost gratitude for sharing Calmbirth with her family providing such healing and positivity for them.
I can’t live without…Music and my holidays.
The person I admire most is…my mother. She was an amazing soul with much learning – Faith, Hope and LOVE !
The best advice I ever got in my life was…“Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realise they were big things!”
