I am a registered nurse and midwife; and commenced working as a midwife in 2001 in Adelaide and have since worked in Victoria and New South Wales in midwifery and clinical education. I have been a Calmbirth® educator since 2005. I am also qualified as a Lactation Consultant and have worked in perinatal and maternal research.
I am passionate about pregnancy and birthing and believe that women should have the opportunity to use their own inner resources to birth and renew their faith in their own birthing abilities. I have had the pleasure of being part of many wonderful births that have unfolded as nature intended leaving women empowered and ready to continue their role as a mother. As well as experience in high risk pregnancy and birth. All women should have the opportunity to prepare their mind and body for this very special event, with the support of their partner. I am now commencing a PhD looking at couple relationships during the transition to parenting.
