I have lived in Wagga Wagga since early 2002, having spent the previous twelve years in Northern Territory.
I am a Registered Nurse and Midwife.
Over the years I have been privileged to have witnessed the most amazing birth journeys.
From this experience I realised that from the very first thought of wanting and having a baby, to conception and to the day you welcome your baby into your arms to beginning a new chapter in your family should be an amazing journey of discovery and wonder.
I work within a hospital environment, so see women and their families from the time they first attend a care giver, through to going home after their birth. To share their journey is amazing when they are confident, informed and look forward to their birthing journey.
I am so amazed and passionate about the Calmbirth® teaching and its philosophy that I
use it every day in my life, to be confident, calm and gentle with myself and the world around me.
To be able to know and understand changes that are happening within the woman's body and mind/soul, and not be afraid of them; not to perceive them with fear of the unknown and anxiety, but welcome them as an opportunity to grow and discover new strengths, and ways to handle challenges more positively.
For me, teaching Calmbirth® is one of the most filling aspect of midwifery, to witness the journey toward the birth, and the growth of confidence of the couple. To know that the time and practice the couples do will always be rewarded.
To witness these births, with any detour that may occur, is a privilege and blessing I could never take for granted.
I run the course over a two day period, either on a weekend, or during week days to accommodate shift workers. Email me so together we are able work out your dates.
