Getting to Know Calmbirth Educator Nicole Greig

I am a Registered Midwife, Registered Nurse and Calmbirth Educator, but most importantly a mother of two beautiful boys.

I have been working as a Registered Midwife since 2001. I have spent 15 years working in a Birth Centre and I was a Mentor for the Publically Funded Homebirth Service. I am currently working as a Midwifery Educator which gives me the opportunity to share my passion for normal birth with future midwives.

My goal is to support women in making informed choices regarding their pregnancy and birth and providing women and their families a safe, comfortable and nurturing environment.Within my midwifery role I have had the opportunity to support many women in labour who have attended the Calmbirth course.

From my observation these women have a great sense of belief in their bodies and the labour process, they feel empowered and confident throughout their labour and the majority of women feel positive about their birth experience. This is what has motivated me to become a Calmbirth Educator.

We had a private ante natal class with Nicole. She was extremely professional, tailored her session to our specific needs, allowed us to ask questions as we pleased and answered them in a very direct, informative and detailed manner. We are much more confident now we have had this session. We would recommend Complete Birth to any expecting parents.

In 2014 I had the honour of being named “Johnson and Johnson NSW Midwife of the Year”. I am very happy to discuss the Calmbirth program with you via email or phone and I look forward to sharing with you my knowledge and love of birth.
