My Journey as a Calmbirth Educator and Breastfeeding Advocate

I have been a Calmbirth educator for 8 years. Becoming a Calmbirth educator has been one of the most fulfilling and inspiring roles of my life. It gives me the opportunity to support expectant parents during one of the most transformative times they’ll ever experience. More than just teaching techniques, Calmbirth is about nurturing confidence, connection, and trust in the birth process and I’m privileged to witness that transformation with every family I work with.

Calmbirth is rooted in the belief that birth is a natural, instinctive process—and that with the right preparation, mindset, and support, it can be a calm, empowering experience. I’ve seen parents walk into class with uncertainty, and leave feeling grounded, informed, and emotionally connected. Watching those shifts happen is one of the most rewarding aspects of what I do.

Equally close to my heart is my deep passion for breastfeeding education and support. Just as birth is a powerful beginning, breastfeeding is a continuation of that intimate bond between parent and baby. I believe that with the right information and gentle guidance, parents can feel confident and supported as they navigate those early days and weeks of feeding.

In my role, I strive to create a safe space—not only for birth preparation, but for honest conversations about postpartum life, feeding choices, and the emotional journey of becoming a parent. I love being able to blend evidence-based knowledge with a compassionate, practical approach—whether I’m helping someone understand how birth hormones support breastfeeding or guiding them through their first latch.

Hearing from families after their birth and early parenting journey is always such a joy especially when they share how the tools they learned through Calmbirth and our discussions around breastfeeding helped them feel calm, resilient, and connected during those early, vulnerable moments.

This work continuously reminds me of the strength, instinct, and wisdom that lives within every parent. I’m endlessly inspired and humbled to be part of that.
