Beautiful and Healing Birth of Sophie

Story by Melissa

Our little girl Sophie arrived on Friday morning after a spontaneous labour and vaginal birth that went very smoothly.

I was able to utilise breathing techniques, the tens machine, and the power of knowledge from our Calmbirth classes.

I advocated for myself throughout the end of pregnancy – allowing me to avoid an unnecessary induction by asking the right questions – what if we wait? … and took that skill in to my labour and birth to empower my choices – even as they changed.

It was all exactly what I needed to help overcome the fears formed by my first birth.

Thank you.
