Calmbreathing techniques helped me to have a positive Caesarean Birth

Hi Kath, Nathan and I wanted to thank you for the preparation Calmbirth gave us for a very unexpected Caesarean.

Before attending your Calmbirth workshop in Bellarine, a caesarean was close to what I feared most as I had only heard negative experiences. After the initial shock that I was going to have Phoebe within the week I was determined to have a positive birth experience … And what a joy filled, incredible experience it was!…

Whenever I felt tense, anxious or scared I practiced the calming breath technique… When they told me that I would start feeling pulling and pushing I used a working breath! … And then she was here 🙂 …

When Phoebe was raised over the drape I instinctively held out my finger, it was an incredibly special moment: an indescribable moment of love and joy! You can see in the photo Nathan grabbing my arm (he is a doctor) as you are not supposed to cross the sanitary barrier … whoops I didn’t realise. Warmest regards and deepest thanks, Michaela and Nathan.
