In a world driven by technology and fast-paced living, the essence of genuine connection often gets lost in the noise. Human beings are inherently social creatures, seeking companionship, understanding, and a sense of belonging.
What I love about our face to face Calmbrith courses @Southernhighlands is the connections I see happening right before my eyes, when couples get the opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of the stresses of everyday living in exchange for a tranquil weekend of learning, sharing, and growing in a safe space.
I love seeing the strengthening bonds between my couples as they start to explore their belief systems around birth and have conversations about what kind of birth they want, how they can achieve this by working together, how they can both actively listen to each other’s needs, gain a better understanding of each other’s perspective and how they can both support each other during the birthing process and in their transition to becoming new parents.
Connection is more than mere interaction – it’s a heartfelt exchange that goes beyond words. It’s the warmth of a smile, the comfort of a shared silence,It is feeling seen, heard, and valued. It’s about creating a safe space where vulnerabilities can be embraced, and this is exemplified in the connections I see being forged amongst other couples as they share the same fears, feelings, emotions, and new experiences of preparing for the birth of their baby and their transition into their parenting journey. These shared moments create long lasting friendships even after their babies are born.
In a world where we are more socially connected then every before digitally, we are also craving that sense of belonging and having that ‘village’ that seems to have been lost that can often make us feel lonely and isolated, so creating meaningful and authentic connections and relationships with other people that have a shared experience is one vital reason why our face to face Calmbirth courses are a great outlet for your mind, body, soul and relationships.
