Labour was incredible; it truly was a case of “don’t think, just do”.

My husband and I did Calmbirth when I was 32 weeks pregnant and it made us both feel so much more confident and relaxed heading into birth. We both felt like we had a deeper understanding of the physiology of labour and birth, as well as the power of breathwork. From then on, we both regularly practised breathwork and I even used it when I had some bad back pain in late pregnancy.

We were incredibly grateful to have a spontaneous labour and water birth at 41+3. It was tough to get that far along but our daughter was completely worth the wait. We really loved Karen’s tip to ignore early labour as long as possible – we were out and about during the day our daughter was born, while I was having what later turned out to be early contractions!
