Biography
Hi, I’m Chloe Blake. I am a registered midwife and nurse, as well as a mum of two beautiful little children who keep me very busy.
I am continuously in awe of women’s bodies and the incredible journey of pregnancy and birth as couples evolve into parents. With nine years of experience, I have worked in both public and private hospitals across Geelong and Melbourne. I feel incredibly fortunate to have been present for the birth of so many beautiful babies and to have had the privilege of supporting and guiding so many wonderful families.
Throughout all the labours and births I have witnessed, the one thing that always stands out, is the couple’s attitude towards birth. The calmbirth ethos – “with knowledge comes confidence” – could not be more true! My belief is that knowledge really is power, and this is why I chose to specialise in calmbirth education. I want couples to feel empowered, confident, and well equipped to achieve the best pregnancy, labour and birth experience for themselves and their babies.
The best thing about labour and birth is that no two experiences are ever the same! There are plenty of stories in the community, not one the same. Good, bad or ugly, that experience will never happen again. As a calmbirth educator, my goal is to shift the culture around birth in our community- from an event to be feared, to one to be embraced with clarity and calm. It truly is an amazing experience that we are strong and capable of achieving.
Birthing our baby is a day we never forget, so let’s ensure that you have positive vibes leading up to your birth and have all the knowledge and tools to prepare you for what lies ahead. Be it a vaginal or a caesarean birth, the day is your baby’s birthday, so let’s make it a day to remember.
