Now a little bit about myself. Supporting pregnant couples to prepare for the arrival of their baby and for the early parenting period is a great privilege and one that I relish! As a midwife, the most important lesson I’ve learned from expectant couples is that being prepared boils down to feeling that you have the knowledge and confidence to create the best birth for you and your baby no matter where you are or what happens on the day. Preparedness is not just about setting up your home and your car or being shown the ins and outs of how or where you have chosen to birth but is also about feeling prepared on an emotional and psychological level and feeling connected as a couple and ultimately as a family. I will guide you into the Program’s unique therapeutic component that helps you address doubts and anxiety and create the mindset that is more conducive to birthing and also teach you the techniques that will enhance the birthing process and empower you as a couple. Calmbirth® is your first step towards creating the birth experience that will be right for you. I am looking forward to hearing from you and helping you to move calmly and confidently in your own direction for creating the best birth for you and your baby. Please explore this website for more information about why Calmbirth® will benefit you, your partner and your baby and remember to check out my calmbirth.com.au booking portal below or contact me on email.

Because when it comes to envisaging how your labour and birth will unfold, how you (plural – mother and partner) are feeling matters more than ever. The fundamental truism that ‘like attracts like’ is summed up well in that quote attributed to Henry Ford that ‘whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you are right’. This is the Law of Attraction at work, which uses the power of the mind to translate whatever is in our thoughts and materialize them into our reality. This impact that our mind has on our lives is becoming more apparent to us through the recent work by quantum physicists who understand that we cannot have a universe without the mind entering it.
The peanut ball arrived on the birthing scene as a useful tool for aiding in maternal comfort and the progress of labour. However, just how and why this versatile device is used to achieve these ends is still a bit sketchy, so here’s an overview of the merits of the peanut ball in the birthing space.
